Tyson Foods to Distribute One Million Meals Across Gulf Coast

On Friday, Tyson Foods announced that they would partner with local authorities, the Salvation Army, Convoy of Hope, and other programs to distribute mass food and supplies across the Gulf Coast in areas hit hard by Hurricane Laura.

These supplies will consist of meals for families, ice, and other needs that are essential to families affected at this time.

An estimated 250,000 pounds of food and essential supplies are being transported now to impacted communities.

Senior Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Tyson Foods Debra Vernon issued a statement.

“The impact of Hurricane Laura is still being felt and we’re deploying resources where we can make the most impact. This response wouldn’t be possible without the support of our team members, disaster relief partners and customers, who are all volunteering time and resources to make sure our response is as successful as possible.”
