U.S. Congressman Mike Ezell, R-Miss., introduced a companion bill, H.Res.63, which is cosponsored by Congressmen Bennie Thompson, R-Miss., Trent Kelly, R-Miss., and Michael Guest, R-Miss.
“These two officers made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and deserve our gratitude,” Wicker said. “My prayers continue to be with their families. These men were heroes and will not be forgotten.”
“Sergeant Robin and Officer Estorffe leave behind two loving families who experienced the tragedy that every law enforcement family fears,” Ezell said. “My thoughts and prayers are with them and the entire Bay St. Louis community as they mourn the loss of these heroes.”
“I am humbled by the bravery of our law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line with the mission to protect and serve. Sergeant Steven Robin and Officer Branden Estorffe made the ultimate sacrifice to keep their community safe and tragically left this world as true heroes,” Hyde-Smith said. “Let this resolution represent just one acknowledgment these officers deserve for their valiant service. I join in praying for those they left behind and for healing for the entire Bay St. Louis community.”
“It is never easy to lose a loved one. Officer Branden Estorffe and Sergeant Steven Robin put their lives on the line every day to protect the people of Bay St. Louis,” Thompson said. “These heroes will be remembered for the sacrifices, commitment, and honor they demonstrated in order to help their communities grow and prosper. During this difficult time, I am sending my love and prayers to the family, friends, and community. Sergeant Steven Robin and Officer Branden Estorffe will be remembered forever.”
