Mississippi ranked No. 6 nationally in rice production in 2025
Mississippi ranked sixth in the nation for rice production in 2025, according to the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce.
The state has 188 rice farms, and its rice production was valued at $125 million in 2025. The department encouraged consumers to buy Mississippi rice and provided a link to help people find a farm.
