Tupelo’s girls took first place after tying Clinton with 61 points; Tupelo’s sixth runner finished ahead of Clinton’s sixth. Millsaps went 4-0 at the invitational. The award was Bourgeois’ second career conference defensive weekly honor, adding individual recognition to the Majors’ unbeaten weekend.

Southern Miss turns toward UConn

Southern Miss coach Blake Anderson focused on correcting mistakes after the Auburn loss in Monday’s media-session coverage. He identified seven false starts, protection errors and coverage mistakes as problems that disrupted the Golden Eagles.
