MDOT highlights infrastructure progress in Southwest Mississippi

The Mississippi Department of Transportation highlighted ongoing infrastructure progress in Southwest Mississippi, saying the work is intended to support future growth and communities across the region.

The update covers projects in MDOT’s District 7, which includes Adams, Amite, Covington, Franklin, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Pike, Simpson, Smith, Walthall and Wilkinson counties.

“Southwest Mississippi is moving forward, and by devoting resources to infrastructure, we lay the groundwork for future growth,” said Charles Busby, MDOT Southern District Transportation Commissioner. He said progress was being made daily and that each completed project represents an investment in communities, the workforce and the future.
