Crime Stoppers Asking for Public Information in March Murder

An unsolved murder that stemmed from a shooting that occurred in February 2021 has led the Tupelo Police Department and Crime Stoppers of North East Mississippi to request any and all information from the public regarding this crime.

On Feb. 5, Jermaine Berghuis, pictured, was the victim of a shooting on Lakeview Drive and sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Berghuis passed away one month later from the gunshot wounds sustained in the crime.

No suspects are known as of now, and any tips or public information is being requested to solve the case.

Crime Stoppers of North East Mississippi and the Tupelo Police Department need your assistance in locating the person responsible for Murder. On 2/5/21, Jermaine Berghuis, victim pictured below, was shot multiple times on Lakeview Drive. On 3/8/21, Mr. Berghuis died as a result of the gunshot wounds. Since that time the Tupelo Police Department has been actively pursuing this case. The investigators assigned to this case are asking anyone with information pertaining to this case to contact Tupelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS (8477).
