PJ Waldrop appointed executive director of Mississippi Development Authority
PJ Waldrop has been appointed executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority, effective tomorrow, according to an announcement by Gov. Tate Reeves. The appointment follows Bill Cork’s retirement from state service.
Reeves said Mississippi is attracting record-breaking capital investment and creating thousands of high-paying jobs across the state. He described Waldrop as a key member of the state’s economic development team who understands what it takes to bring major projects to Mississippi.
Reeves said he was confident Waldrop would lead MDA and build on the state’s economic development momentum. He also thanked Cork for his years of service and wished him well in his future endeavors.
