Mississippi law authorizes Ackerman to levy 2% restaurant sales tax

Senate Bill 3401, passed during the 2026 Regular Session of the Mississippi Legislature, authorizes the City of Ackerman to levy a 2% special tax on the gross proceeds of restaurant sales within the city’s corporate limits.
