DeSoto County absentee voting begins for Nov. 3 general election

Absentee in-person voting for the Nov. 3 general election began Monday, Sept. 21, according to DeSoto County Government.

Eligible voters may cast absentee ballots at the DeSoto County Circuit Clerk’s Office inside the historic courthouse at 2535 Highway 51 South in Hernando.

The office is open for absentee voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It also will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 31.

The deadline to vote absentee in person is noon Saturday, Oct. 31. Information about absentee voting, eligibility and the list of candidates is available on the DeSoto County Elections webpage.
