Vicksburg Police seek applicants; deadline Sept. 3

The Vicksburg Police Department is urging prospective officers to complete and submit applications by Thursday, Sept. 3, at 4 p.m., the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said all completed applications must be turned in to the Human Resources Department at 1415 Walnut Street. Anyone who has already picked up an application packet was reminded to finish it and deliver it to Human Resources before the deadline.

The Vicksburg Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency responsible for public safety in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Recruiting drives are a routine part of maintaining staffing levels and readiness for local police agencies, and they offer opportunities for residents interested in careers in law enforcement.

The department encouraged potential applicants to “Answer the Call,” noting there is still time to apply. Prospective applicants should contact the Human Resources Department for further instructions on the application process. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
