Traffic signal fails at Highway 57 and Highway 90; detours in place
Local authorities say the traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 57 and Highway 90 is out as of June 18, 2026, creating traffic control measures and delays for motorists.
Officials posted the alert on Facebook and said eastbound and westbound traffic on Highway 90 is flowing. Motorists traveling northbound or southbound on Highway 57 are being directed to turn eastbound or westbound onto Highway 90.
Drivers are urged to use extreme caution when approaching the intersection, reduce speed and follow directions from law enforcement officers who are managing traffic, officials said. Motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time if possible.
Traffic signal outages can result from power interruptions, equipment malfunctions or other issues and commonly require temporary manual control until repairs are completed.
