Three charged in Hayes Street shooting
VICKSBURG, Mississippi — Three people have been charged in connection with a Hayes Street shooting, the Vicksburg Police Department said in a Facebook post updating its investigation.
Phillip Lewis Moore Jr. and Demetrius Lee Cormier each face two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, nine counts of aggravated assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon by a felon, the department said. Omarion Marques Nelson is charged with two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and nine counts of aggravated assault with a weapon.
The department said the charges reflect its continued commitment to investigate violent crime and pursue accountability. Officials did not provide additional details about the shooting, victims or where on Hayes Street the incident occurred in the post.
