Starkville police thank State Farm agent for donation to National Night Out

STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Starkville Police Department posted photos on Facebook saying National Night Out 2026 is “two days away” and thanking Brian McCaskill of State Farm for a donation to support the event, the department said.

The department did not detail the amount or specific use of the donation in the post, which included hashtags promoting the event. Starkville Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency serving the city of Starkville and surrounding campus areas.

National Night Out is an annual community-police awareness campaign started in 1984 to promote partnerships between law enforcement and neighborhoods, encourage crime prevention efforts and strengthen community ties. The event typically features block parties, meetings with officers and activities aimed at improving public safety and neighborhood engagement.

Donations from local businesses and residents often help cover materials, outreach and logistical needs for such events, enabling departments to host activities that bring neighbors and officers together.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
