Scott County Sheriff’s Office pledges to respond to mutual aid requests

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said in a video posted to its Facebook page that its deputies stand ready to respond within their jurisdiction and through mutual aid to neighboring agencies when called.

The office emphasized that deputies remain committed to serving and protecting communities wherever assistance is needed and that they will respond with professionalism and dedication to public safety.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for Scott County and often works with neighboring agencies through mutual aid agreements to handle emergencies, large events and incidents that exceed a single agency’s resources. Statements like this are generally intended to reassure residents and local partners about preparedness and cooperation in public safety matters.

Sheriff Mike Lee, Chief Deputy Brad Ellis and Public Information Officer Joshua Thames were identified in the post, which also included a disclaimer about background music. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
