Pike County Sheriff’s Office releases weekly crime report

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office released its weekly crime report for Aug. 7-13, 2026, the department said.

The report was provided by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department and posted on the department’s Facebook page under the hashtag #TeamWallyJones. The post did not include a detailed breakdown in the initial notice.

Weekly crime reports from sheriff’s offices typically summarize incidents, arrests and calls for service and are intended to keep residents informed about public safety and law enforcement activity in their communities. Such releases help residents track trends, identify safety concerns and understand law enforcement priorities.

The sheriff’s office serves as the primary law enforcement agency for the county and is generally responsible for patrolling unincorporated areas, operating the county jail and serving civil processes. The department regularly uses social media to share updates and encourage community awareness.

The department did not include additional details in the social media post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
