Pike County sheriff honors staff at 2026 breakfast

Pike County Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones on Saturday thanked community supporters who helped honor the department’s employees at a 2026 staff breakfast, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department said.

The event recognized deputies, dispatchers, detention officers, administrative staff, investigators and other employees for their service to the county, the department said. Supporters donated homemade pound cakes, freshly baked cookies, seasonal fruit and other breakfast items for the gathering.

Jones said the success of the sheriff’s office rests on the commitment, professionalism and sacrifice of its employees. “The men and women of this agency are the backbone of our mission,” he said. “They serve with courage, integrity, and compassion, often making personal sacrifices to protect our communities. This breakfast is one small way of saying thank you for your dedication and your unwavering commitment to public service.”

The sheriff’s office credited volunteers and donors for helping make the morning a success and said the event strengthened ties between the agency and the community it serves. The department provided the information through its public relations office.
