Pike County sheriff honors staff at 2026 breakfast

Sheriff Bryant “Wally” Jones thanked community supporters and honored employees of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at a 2026 staff breakfast, the sheriff’s office said. The event recognized deputies, dispatchers, detention officers, administrative staff, investigators and other employees for their service to Pike County.

“The men and women of this agency are the backbone of our mission,” Jones said. “They serve with courage, integrity, and compassion, often making personal sacrifices to protect our communities. This breakfast is one small way of saying thank you for your dedication and your unwavering commitment to public service.”

The sheriff’s office said community members donated homemade pound cakes, cookies, seasonal fruit and other breakfast items and volunteered time to support the event. Officials said the donations reflected a strong partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens it serves.

Office representatives said the gathering celebrated service and strengthened relationships between staff and the community. The information was provided by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
