Oxford police spotlight fusion officer Ryan Baker
Oxford police on Facebook highlighted Officer Ryan Baker as the department’s fusion officer who oversees real-time crime information operations, the department said.
In its post, the Oxford Police Department described fusion centers as regional hubs where law enforcement and public safety agencies share information in real time. The department said those centers help investigators and officers see the full picture, identify patterns, flag threats early and coordinate responses before situations escalate.
The department said Baker works at the intersection of data, technology and public safety, connecting information from multiple agencies, tips and emerging crime trends so officers can respond faster and smarter. The post noted that his role is not always visible on patrol but strengthens every shift, dispatch and investigation across the department.
