Ocean Springs police seek Wade Garrett Hartney Wade after court no-show
Ocean Springs police said in a Facebook post they are seeking Wade Garrett Hartney Wade in connection with a grand larceny case, listing case number 2026080879, after he failed to appear for a scheduled hearing.
The post urged Wade to contact detectives or to stop by the police station to speak with investigators. It said members of the public may also be watching for him at some of his known hangouts, including hotels in Ocean Springs.
Police asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling TIPS. The post said that to qualify for a reward, information must be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
Grand larceny generally refers to the theft of property above a statutory dollar threshold that elevates the charge to a felony; thresholds and penalties vary by jurisdiction. The Facebook post also reminded readers that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty, and the department said it welcomes any information that might assist the investigation.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more details become available.
