Ocean Springs Police Department is asking the public for help locating Desman Mikell in connection with Case Number 2026080115. The department said Mikell has been charged with terroristic threats after threatening to blow up a medical facility located within the city limits of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Police said Mikell is known to frequent the Ocean Springs and Hattiesburg areas. Ocean Springs is a city on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Jackson County, near Biloxi, and Hattiesburg lies inland to the north.
Threats against medical facilities raise serious public safety concerns and can disrupt health care services, prompting security lockdowns or evacuations while law enforcement investigates. Authorities typically treat such threats as criminal matters that can carry significant penalties.
The department asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by contacting local Crime Stoppers. Police said tips must come through Crime Stoppers to qualify for a reward. Police also noted that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
