Ocean Springs Police recognize officer, dispatcher for first quarter
Ocean Springs Police Department recognized two employees for their service in the first quarter, the department said in a post on its Facebook page.
Lt. Wanhala was named Officer of the Quarter. The department said Lt. Wanhala demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative and a strong commitment to the department’s mission, consistently setting the standard and leading by example.
Dispatcher Ortiz was named Civilian of the Quarter. The department said Dispatcher Ortiz showed outstanding performance in communications, remaining calm under pressure while providing critical support to officers and the community, and that their dedication and reliability make a significant daily impact.
