MSDH may close offices or change hours amid severe weather

JACKSON — Some Mississippi State Department of Health offices and services may be closed or operating on adjusted hours because of severe weather, the department said. MSDH urged residents to check for the latest closure updates before visiting an office or service location.

The Mississippi State Department of Health is the state agency responsible for public health programs, including community clinics, immunizations, disease surveillance and vital records. Interruptions to office hours or services can affect routine care and access to records and public health programs that residents rely on.

MSDH said updates are available at msdh.ms.gov/closures and through the department’s Healthy Mobile App and website. The department also encouraged residents to stay safe and monitor local weather conditions while confirming service availability before traveling to an office.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
