Driver Service locations close Feb. 2 amid winter storm

Driver Service said on its Facebook page that some of its locations will be closed on Feb. 2 and warned that a recent winter storm may affect operations at other offices.

Driver Service offices typically provide driver’s licenses, state identification cards and vehicle registration services. Closures can disrupt scheduled appointments, delay license renewals and complicate transactions for residents who need identification for work, travel or other services.

The agency urged customers to check its official website or social media channels for updates, to avoid travel to closed locations and to reschedule appointments as needed. Officials did not list which specific sites would be closed in the post.

Because winter weather can create rapidly changing conditions, motorists and visitors should plan for potential delays and confirm service availability before visiting an office. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
