Moses family announces funeral arrangements for HCSO Sgt. Christopher Moses
The Moses family announced final arrangements for funeral services and visitation for HCSO Sgt. Christopher Moses in a Facebook post shared publicly by the family.
The post did not publish dates or locations. The family said they were providing the information so friends, colleagues and members of the community could pay their respects.
Sgt. is a rank used in sheriff’s offices and other law enforcement agencies; members at that rank typically supervise deputies and perform duties that range from patrol to investigations. Sheriff’s offices often coordinate with families and fellow agencies to arrange memorial services and honors when an officer dies, which can include public visitations, processions and department tributes.
The announcement follows a period of increased public attention to the risks faced by law enforcement officers and the role of community support after a line-of-duty death or a death of a serving officer. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
