Lee County men charged with meth trafficking after Verona traffic stop
VERONA — Two Lee County men were arrested earlier this month after deputies reportedly found a large quantity of methamphetamine during a traffic stop, the Tupelo Police Department said.
Officers stopped a vehicle on East Main Street for multiple traffic violations and identified the driver as Grant N. Gardner, 42, and the passenger as Kedreick Mister, 42, both from the Lee County area, the department said. During the investigation, deputies discovered what the department described as a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Gardner and Mister were taken to the Lee County Adult Detention Center and each was charged with aggravated trafficking of a Schedule II controlled substance involving methamphetamine, the department said. Both men also face several misdemeanor traffic offenses. A Lee County justice court judge set bond at $25,000 for each suspect.
Aggravated trafficking of a Schedule II controlled substance is a felony charge. No additional information was immediately available. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
