The Jackson Police Department recently held an opening ceremony for its Employee Appreciation Program to honor officers and support personnel who have gone above and beyond the call of duty, the department said in a Facebook Reel.
The department said the program recognizes both sworn officers and civilian staff for outstanding service to the community and for supporting officers in the field. The Jackson Police Department is the primary municipal law enforcement agency serving the city of Jackson, responsible for public safety, crime prevention and community policing.
Employee appreciation programs are commonly used by police agencies to boost morale, acknowledge exceptional work and reinforce community-oriented policing efforts. Recognition can help maintain officer morale, support retention and highlight positive interactions between law enforcement and residents.
