Jackson Police Department holds employee appreciation event

The Jackson Police Department held an Employee Appreciation Program this morning at the JPD Training Academy at 3000 Saint Charles Street, the department said in a Facebook post.

The post included photos and captions of honorees who were recognized at the event, though it did not list names or further details about the awards.

Jackson Police Department, which serves as the municipal law enforcement agency for the city, operates the Training Academy as a facility for recruit and in-service training. Employee appreciation events are commonly used by police departments to acknowledge staff performance, boost morale and reinforce workplace retention and community-focused policing efforts.

The department’s Facebook post made the photos available to the public. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
