Harrison County sheriff’s office asks public to identify man who tried to pry open business door
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify a man shown in a Facebook post who investigators say tried to pry open the front door of a business on Highway 53 near County Farm Road on Feb. 10, 2026, the department said.
Officials posted a photo of the suspect on the department’s Facebook page and asked anyone with information to come forward. Investigators described the incident as an attempt to force entry; the sheriff’s office did not provide additional details about damage or whether anyone was on the premises at the time.
Anyone with information about the crime or the identity of the individual is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling the Crime Stoppers tip line, the sheriff’s office said. To qualify for a reward, information must be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for the county and routinely seeks public assistance in identifying suspects in property and other crimes. Crime Stoppers programs, which operate in many communities, allow people to submit anonymous tips and may offer rewards for information that leads to arrests.
This request highlights efforts to curb property crime and involve the community in investigations. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
