Chief Deputy Gatlin visits Osyka Elementary to discuss cyberbullying
Chief Deputy Damian Gatlin recently visited Osyka Elementary School to speak with fourth- and fifth-grade students about cyberbullying and the importance of reporting concerns, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Public Relations Department said.
Gatlin partnered with Dr. Takesha Isaac during the visit and emphasized personal responsibility and safety, using the slogan, “See something, say something,” the department said. His warm and approachable manner encouraged students to ask questions and engage openly.
The Sheriff’s Office said the visit aimed to strengthen positive relationships between law enforcement and young people and to help students view officers as trusted partners in the community. Officials said the session also sought to empower students to make safe, responsible choices online and in daily life.
