Biloxi Police Department posts on Facebook
The Biloxi Police Department recently posted on its official Facebook page, continuing the agency’s use of social media to communicate with residents and visitors in the Mississippi Gulf Coast city.
The department, which provides law enforcement services for Biloxi, a coastal city known for its tourism and port activity, regularly uses online platforms to share public safety information, traffic alerts, community outreach news and other announcements.
Social media posts from local police departments can serve several purposes: alerting the public about ongoing incidents, requesting assistance or information from residents, advising about road closures or weather-related safety measures, and promoting crime prevention tips. Such posts also aim to increase transparency and foster community trust by giving residents direct access to official updates.
Residents who see important public safety information on social media are reminded to call 911 for emergencies or to contact the department through its official nonemergency channels for other concerns. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
