Greenville to host free Vaccine Day on Sept. 9

The City of Greenville, through the Mayor’s Health Council, will host a free Vaccine Day on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Delta Terrace, 810 S. Theobald St. The event is open to the public.

Walgreens will provide vaccines while supplies last, including those for COVID-19, shingles, RSV, pneumonia, flu, T-DAP and hepatitis B.

Attendees are asked to bring identification and an insurance card. Free flu shot vouchers also will be available for people without insurance.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons said the event is intended to provide residents with access to health resources and encouraged them to participate and prioritize their health.
