SCRIBBLERS is inviting Blue Mountain Christian University students with a passion for creative writing to join the group.
The group offers students a place to create, share and develop their work alongside other writers. It welcomes poetry, short stories, songs and other forms of writing, and says no experience is necessary.

Students are encouraged to become SCRIBBLERS and take part in the writing community.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
