Oxford School District teachers, staff members and administrators are reflecting on where they were on Sept. 11, 2001, and the moments from that day that remain with them.
The district said a new generation is learning about 9/11 through history. It also called for remembering those who died, honoring those who served and reflecting on the day.
The message posed the question, “Where were you on September 11th?” and ended with a call to “Never forget.”
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
