New Albany High School commemorated the lives lost in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and honored those who responded to the tragedy.
The school said its remembrance included the victims, first responders, service members and Americans who demonstrated courage. It also reflected on the sacrifices made, the heroes who answered the call and the unity that brought the nation together.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
