New Albany High School’s Faculty Spotlight this week features John Parks, a member of the school’s custodial staff.
The school said Parks works behind the scenes each day to help keep New Albany High School clean, safe and ready for students and staff. The spotlight includes a video intended to help the school community get to know him.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
