Northeast Mississippi Community College Adult Education students took part in a lesson called “Getting to Know AI” during AEFL Week activities. The lesson introduced students to the growing role of artificial intelligence in media, images and everyday technology.
The activity was designed to build digital literacy while helping students examine how emerging technology is shaping the world around them and future careers, according to NEMCC Adult Education.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
