National Literacy Institute works with NAMS and NAHS teachers

The National Literacy Institute worked with teachers from NAMS and NAHS on practical approaches to literacy instruction, focusing on ways to help students understand, remember and apply what they learn.

The institute was founded in 2003 by former teacher and administrator Dr. Ingrid Haynes and has supported more than 100,000 educators with practical strategies intended to help students become stronger readers and learners.

The National Literacy Institute will continue working with the schools’ secondary teachers throughout the year.
