Mississippi launches statewide AI framework

AccelerateMS announced in a social media post that it is launching the Mississippi Statewide AI Framework to establish statewide artificial intelligence priorities and map AI skills for learners across the state.

The framework provides a structured, stage-by-stage map of the AI skills learners need from K-12 through career leadership, the post said. AccelerateMS said the initiative is intended to help align learning pathways and prepare students and workers for roles that increasingly involve AI technologies.

The post described the framework as another example of the state leading the way in innovation. Statewide skill frameworks like this one generally aim to give educators, school leaders and employers a common set of expectations for curriculum development, professional learning and workforce planning.

An online copy of the framework was linked in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
