McIngvale Road portion in Hernando to close for water-line work

A portion of McIngvale Road near Dilworth Lane S in Hernando will be closed Tuesday, October 6, while a contractor working on the Captain D’s development connects to the road’s water line, according to DeSoto County Government.

The work is scheduled during Fall Break to avoid school traffic. Drivers should use Thousand Oaks Drive on the north side or Creekside Boulevard on the south side as detours.

Vehicles approaching from the south may travel past Creekside Boulevard, but McIngvale Road will remain closed through the work area. Drivers must turn around before reaching the closure near Dilworth Lane S. Officials urged motorists to follow posted Road Closed and Detour signs and use caution around the work area.
