Blue Mountain Christian University has been ranked among the top three online cybersecurity programs in Mississippi for 2027, according to an announcement from the university.
The university said the recognition reflects its commitment to preparing students with the skills and knowledge to protect the digital world. It also promoted its online cybersecurity program as a starting point for students pursuing careers in the field.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
