Baldwyn High School senior Jamie Horton was selected for Toyota Mississippi’s Creating Your Future internship, one of eight applicants chosen from a pool of 38, according to the Baldwyn School District.
The 15-week, paid internship combines classroom instruction with hands-on manufacturing experience. Horton will work up to 20 hours per week.

The program includes new-hire orientation, Manufacturing Skills Basic Certification instructed by Itawamba Community College and production team member-based learning.
Toyota Mississippi describes the education-to-work initiative as focused on developing a highly skilled workforce to enhance Mississippi’s future.
