Greenville police investigate shooting on South Colorado Street

The Greenville Police Department is investigating a shooting Sunday afternoon in the 1000 block of South Colorado Street, where one of two male victims was grazed by a bullet, according to police.

Police said officers responded at approximately 12:33 p.m. to 1020 South Colorado Street after receiving a report that a person had been shot. Officers learned that two male victims had been approached by a male suspect dressed in all black.

According to witnesses, the suspect allegedly produced a firearm and fired in the victims’ direction. One victim suffered a graze wound that was reported as non-life-threatening based on information available at the scene.

The suspect fled after the shooting. The department said the investigation remains active as investigators work to identify the person responsible and determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
