Meridian will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2026, on the City Hall Lawn at 1860 24th Avenue. The invitation was issued on behalf of Mayor Percy Bland.
The event will include music, dancing, lights and holiday activities for families as the city begins the Christmas season.

Performances are scheduled by The Covenant Dancers, Grayson Culpepper and CMA Corps de Ballet. DJ Tech will provide music, and free hot chocolate will be available during the countdown to the tree lighting.
The city is partnering with The SPOT for the event, which is intended to bring the community together for the holiday season.
