WOW honors Long Beach first responders with lunch and community support

WOW, or Women of Wisdom, recognized and honored Long Beach first responders and first responders across the Coast during a community observance. The recognition included lunch for Long Beach Police Department officers and others being honored.

Coca-Cola delivered drinks, while The Rack House provided the meal. The Long Beach Police Department said the effort showed appreciation for first responders’ service, sacrifice and dedication to their communities.

The observance also remembered people who were lost, honored those who served and expressed gratitude for first responders who continue to stand ready to protect and serve.
