K9 Officer Jennifer Callais, K9 Cosmo, K9 Nova and Cpl. Mike Alquist visited Nicholson Elementary to speak with kindergartners and present a demonstration combining education with action-packed skills.
The dogs drew strong interest from the students, who also enjoyed seeing the police cars used by the K9 teams. The department said its K9 officers visit schools to demonstrate their training and build positive relationships with students.
