The Waveland Police Department’s Night Out Against Crime event is taking place at St. Clare Catholic Church, with Sam scheduled to attend until 2 p.m. today.
The event includes giveaways and free food, according to Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel.
