The Vicksburg Police Department shared a snapshot of its activity and reported crime statistics for August 2026, saying the monthly information is intended to keep the community informed about department activity and crime trends in Vicksburg.
The department also offered a community safety tip for September, which is National Preparedness Month. Residents were encouraged to make a family emergency plan, know how they will receive local alerts and keep essential supplies readily available because emergencies can happen without warning.
