A pumpkin party featuring children’s decorating activities, a carving contest and prizes is planned for Tuesday, October 13, at Chick-fil-A Southaven, 235 Goodman Road West at I-55.
Children 12 and younger can receive a free pie pumpkin to decorate. Participants ages 13 through adults can enter a pumpkin-carving contest in teams of two. Each team must pay $20 and register and prepay in advance; the contest is limited to 20 teams.

Prizes range from $150 to $50. A face painter and local vendors also are scheduled to participate. Contest entrants are instructed to scan the QR code on the event flyer to register and prepay.
