Pooh celebrated his birthday at Mississippi Department of Public Safety headquarters, where he met Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers, Capitol Police officers, Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division officers and other DPS personnel.
The celebration included smiles, high-fives and birthday activities. The department thanked Pooh for spending his special day with the agency and invited the public to wish him a happy birthday.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
