Oxford crews repair sewer main that broke overnight

Oxford Water and Sewer crews are working to repair a sewer main at E Jackson and 14th St after it broke overnight. People in the area are advised to use caution while the work continues.

Crews are using shovels, hammers and heavy machinery to move concrete and dirt around a network of utility lines beneath Oxford’s streets. Hand signals and cameras are helping operators maneuver heavy equipment within inches of conduit. Photos of the work were captured in the morning.
